Brent Starr of Skin Kitchen Tattoo answers the question from our viewer

Luna de blue:

"I have a question how to finish healing a tattoo that was covered with saniderm at the beginning at the shop? My tattoo Artists told me to keep it on for a couple of days but it didn't tell me what should I do after I removed it. I took it off after 2 days and washed it with a cerave liquid soup. Then, zI did proceed to heal it by applying cerave unscented lotion twice a day. There's no information about this out there. Please, let us know how to handle it for future tattoos like in ky case."

Bstarr has been tattooing for 10 years. His career began at several shops in Keokuk, IA, eventually landing in Des Moines in his dream chair @The Skin Kitchen in early 2020, undeterred by the pandemic fear campaign. His favorite styles to work in are illustrative, fantasy, impressionist, and black-and-grey realism.
